Frances G. Carr, 85, passed away on February 15, 2016, and was once again reunited with her husband John, of nearly 63 years, who passed away October 18, 2015, at age 86. John was born in Tacoma on March 15, 1929, attended Stadium High School, and was a graduate of the US Naval Academy. It was while attending the academy that he met Frances Granger of Norfolk, Virginia. They married after his graduation in 1953 and spent the next 30 years as a military family traveling the world. John retired as a captain from the US Navy and several years after his retirement they moved from Washington DC to Gig Harbor, WA. where they lived in the home built by his parents. They were residents of Gig Harbor for 28 years. They were preceded in death by parents Marjorie and Howard Carr, Fred and Sarah Granger, sister Gino Gullikson, and daughter Susan Bilahorka. They are survived by sister Marjorie Brunni (Don), brother Fred Granger (Barbara), daughter Peggy Zinn and son William Carr (Helen). They had four grand children Michelle Cox (Scott), Jason Elledge, Alicia Stull (Josh) and Daniel Carr as well as seven great-grand children Angela, Ashley, Carter, Kamron, Jaymz, Samuel, and Bella. At their request there will not be a service and in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society .
