Dear Members of the Class of '53,

My name is Sarah Eddy.  I am a recent graduate of the University of Maryland and my grandfather Denver Eddy was a member of the USNA Class of 1953.  As a young adult, I have been searching to participate in a life-changing event that will make a meaningful contribution to my community.  And this year I found that life-changing experience - ‘4K for Cancer,’ a program of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.   This summer I will be joining thirty of my peers on a four thousand five hundred mile bike ride from Baltimore, Maryland to Portland, Oregon to raise awareness, unite communities, and inspire hope in the fight against cancer.   We will ride our bicycles for seventy days as we support community fundraising efforts, and visit treatment centers...To continue reading Sarah's letter and appeal, please click here.
